Executive Office Sorocaba
High-standard corporate environment with refined industrial aesthetics and precision acoustics
The Executive Office Sorocaba is the project that most faithfully translates our industrial blueprint aesthetic into the corporate environment. The engineering firm that commissioned us had a clear brief: a space that conveyed technical authority and precision without resorting to the clichés of traditional luxury offices — no white marble, no mirrors, no gold.
The Concept: Precision Industry
The office was conceived as a high-performance idea factory. Electrical conduits, data cables and the air-conditioning duct run exposed above the concrete slab, painted in satin graphite. The existing concrete beams were left bare and received a matte resin finish that unified imperfections without concealing the concrete’s natural grain.
Leather Acoustic Panels
The major technical challenge of the project was acoustic control in an open-plan environment with exposed concrete slab. The solution was 50mm acoustic panels upholstered in natural tan-colored tanned leather, fixed to the walls with an 8cm standoff from the masonry — creating an air cavity that amplifies sound absorption.
The panels were designed on a 60×120cm module, aligned to the ceiling’s structural grid and to the floor divisions in burnt cement strips. The result is a meeting room with an RT60 of 0.4 seconds — a reverberation index suitable for high-level presentations and video conferences.
Precision Millwork
All furniture was custom-developed and executed by specialist cabinetmakers. The solid American walnut work desks with 5cm tops rest on a carbon steel structure finished in textured graphite-grey epoxy paint. The 4.2-meter central meeting table is a single piece, cut from a single 5-meter walnut plank — the wood’s natural imperfections are celebrated, not hidden.
Technical Lighting
The lighting design prioritizes indirect illumination above the workstations — high-efficiency LED tracks recessed within the exposed installation conduits, aimed at the ceiling, create diffused high-uniformity light that eliminates harsh shadows and screen glare on computer monitors. At individual workstations, articulated polished aluminium desk lamps complete the lighting plan with personal control for each team member.
